باب 336

(336) بَابُ إِذَا طَلَبَ فَلْيَطْلُبْ طَلَبًا يَسِيرًا وَلا يَمْدَحُهُ

(336) Chapter: When a person seeks something, he should ask forsomething small and not praise the person (AR)

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَزَّةَ يَسَارِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ، جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا، أَوْ: فِيهَا أ حَاجَةً.


Abu 'Izza Yassar ibn 'Abdullah al-Hudhali reported that the Prophet,may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When Allah wants a slaveto die in a particular country, he makes him have some reason for beingthere." (AR)
