Life is a culmination of ups and downs. Unpredictable events and challenges are a natural part of our lives, but these unimaginable events or mishaps can be overwhelming. In such difficult instances, turning towards faith and making dua when stricken with a mishap or overtaken by an affair can help one stay rooted in their faith and have the strength to get through the difficult time. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) in the Quran mentions, "When My servants ask you about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one's prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided" (Quran 2:186).
Whatever comes to us comes from the Will of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), and Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught his companions that "For verily the saying 'if...' begins the work of the Devil" [Hisn al-Muslim 144]. There is nothing that comes to us without the Decree of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), and if there is a test, it is there for a reason. Therefore, to remain steadfast in our faith in Allah's judgment, recite the dua given below.
Dua signifies humility, and that is how it should be. When stricken with a mishap or overtaken by an affair, pray with utmost humility and reliance on Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) that it is Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) who is the sole disposer of one's affairs and it is only with His Will that things happen. When making dua in adversity, use dua as a source of hope that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) will change the circumstances for better and that Allah's wisdom is beyond our understanding. He does things in His order, and sooner or later, there will be a way out for you out of the crisis.

Qadarullaahi wa maa shaa'afa'ala.
Allah hat vorbestimmt und was Er will, macht Er.
Finding one's self in a sudden challenge can shake one's faith, but persevering and staying connected to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) can help navigate through these challenges and also help one find comfort and solace that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) is looking after them. Making dua in difficult circumstances can help one take proactive measures to help themselves change their circumstances. It takes away a feeling of being alone and helplessness by allowing one to submit their affairs to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى).
