It wasnarrated from Maimunah that he (meaning the Prophet (ﷺ))passed bya dead sheep belonging to the freed slave woman of Maimunah,that hadbeen given to her in charity. He said:
"Why don't they takeitsskin and ten it, and make us of it?" They said: "O Messenger ofAllah, it is dead meat."* He said: "It is only unlawful to eatit." (DE)
