(67) باب التَّزْوِيجِ عَلَى نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ .

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، يَقُولُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَىَّ بَشَاشَةُ الْعُرْسِ فَقُلْتُ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ . قَالَ " كَمْ أَصْدَقْتَهَا " . قَالَ زِنَةَ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ .

'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf said:
"The Messenger of Allah saw me looking cheerful as I had just got married." I said: "I have gotten married to a woman of the Ansar." He said: "How much did you give her as a dowry?" He said: "A Nawah (five Dirhams) of gold." (DE)
