(28) باب النَّهْىِ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ، مُفْرَدًا

(28) Chapter: Prohibition of Soaking (Making Nabidh) in Earthenware Jars (DE)

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ قُلْتُ مَا الْحَنْتَمُ قَالَ الْجَرُّ .

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Al-Hantam. I (the narrator) said: "What is Al-Hantam?" He said: "The earthenware jar." (DE)
