(5) باب التَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ

(5) Chapter: Clapping [during the Salat] is permissible only for the women (DE)

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيحُ لِلنِّسَاءِ ".

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The saying 'Sub Han Allah' is for men and clapping is for women. (DE)
