Kul Sharif Mosque is one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in Russia and is named after the last Imam of Kazan, Kul Sharif, who sacrificed his life to save this palace from the invaders. The Muslim offers five times salah, Friday sermon, Jumu'ah prayer, Taraweeh prayers, and two Eid prayers. It also has a museum on its ground floor, the Museum of Islam. The mosque is open for everyone to visit and also provides free scarves and caps outside the mosque, as without them entry is banned. The original mosque was destroyed after the fall of the Soviet Union and was rebuilt by collecting donations from 40 thousand people. The Iranian government gifted the beautiful carpets in the mosque. The mosque can hold around 10 thousand people in the square in front of the mosque.

Al-Marjani Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Russia, built after the conquest of Kazan Khanate, today commonly known as Shigabutdin Marjani. It is a big mosque and serves as a central place for Muslims to pray their daily prayers. It also provides Islamic education for kids and adults. The mosque also provides Nikkah services and allows a little bit of photoshoots and intimate gatherings. Funeral services are also offered for Muslims, along with Islamic burial services.

Nurulla Mosque is an old mosque built in the 19th century by the Tartar Muslims. It was built between 1845 and 1849 with a dome and minaret to showcase Islamic architecture. Its minaret was destroyed in 1929 and was subsequently used as apartments and offices. In 1992, it was renamed as Nurulla Mosque and was returned to the Muslim community to continue with their worship. By 1995, the minarets were restored, and the mosque became operational again. Today, Nurulla is a place to worship and an educational center for Muslims to get Islamic education, learn about the Quran and memorize it.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan (DUMRT) is the main Islamic body in the Tartarstan region and looks after all the religious activities in the region.
