The Excellence Of Sending Prayers Upon The Prophet


Sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet (ï·º) is a highly virtuous act that every Muslim must take time to do. Allah says in the Quran: "Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah's blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace." – 33:56. Allah sends His blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (ï·º) and orders the believers to do the same. The Prophet (SAW) said: "Whoever prays for Allah's blessings upon me once, will be blessed for it by Allah ten times".

The Prophet (SAW) said: Do not make my grave a place of ritual celebration, but pray for Allah's blessings upon me, for your blessings reach me from wherever you are.

وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : " البخيل من ذكرت عندهُ فلم يصل علي "

The Prophet (SAW) said: The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned yet does not pray for Allah's blessings upon me.

The Prophet (SAW) said: Indeed Allah has angels who roam the earth and they convey to me the greetings (or prayers of peace) of my 'ummah (nation).

وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم " ما من أحد يسلم علي إلا رد الله على روحي حتى أروُدَّ عليه السلام "

The Prophet (SAW) said: No one sends greetings (or prayers of peace) upon me but Allah returns my soul to me so that I may return his greetings.

The Etiquettes of Sending Blessings/Prayers Upon the Prophet (п·є)


You do not need a specific time of situation to send prayers upon the Prophet (п·є). Instead, do it any time of the day that is possible for you to send blessings upon him. You can also add the prayers to your daily dhikr routine and recite them after you finish each individual salah.

You can also try to do it while traveling, doing your daily chores, or activities. "When any one of you prays, let him begin by praising Allah, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet, then let him ask for whatever he wants." [Tirmidhi]. The Prophet (п·є) was reported to have said: "There is no one who sends greetings of peace (Salam) upon me, but Allah will restore to me my soul so that I may return his SalДЃm." [Abu Dawud]. There can be nothing more glorious for a believer than to receive greetings from the Messenger of Allah (п·є).


Allah Will Erase The Sins Of Those Who Send Blessings On The Prophet Muhammad (п·є)


The Prophet (п·є) was reported to have said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will erase ten sins from him and will raise him ten degrees in status." [Nasa'I"].
