(27) باب قَضَاءِ الصِّيَامِ عَنِ الْمَيِّتِ

(27) Chapter: Making up fasts on behalf of the deceased (ES)

وَحَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ أَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ وَقَالَ صَوْمُ شَهْرٍ .

Buraida (Allah be pleased with him) reported a similar hadith on the authority of his father that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said:
" Fasting for one month." (ES)
