(17) باب مَا يُتَّقَى مِنْ شُؤْمِ الْمَرْأَةِ

(18) Chapter: What evil omen of a lady is to be warded off (ES)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَسْقَلاَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ ذَكَرُوا الشُّؤْمَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي شَىْءٍ فَفِي الدَّارِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ ".

Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Evil omen was mentioned before the Prophet: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If there is evil omen in anything, it is in the house, the woman and the horse." (ES)
