(47) باب صِفَةِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

(47) Chapter: Description of the Ring of the Prophet [SAW] (ES)

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَةَ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ حَتَّى مَضَى شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَاتَمِهِ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ .

It was narrated that Anas said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] delayed 'Isha' prayer one night, until half the night had passed, then he came out and led us in prayer. And it is as if I can see the whiteness of his silver ring on his hand." (ES)
