(50) باب مَا ذُكِرَ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ

(50) Chapter: What has been said about Bani Israel (ES)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ فُلاَنًا، أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ، حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ، فَجَمَّلُوهَا فَبَاعُوهَا ". تَابَعَهُ جَابِرٌ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
I heard `Umar saying, "May Allah Curse so-and-so! Doesn't he know that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'May Allah curse the Jews for, though they were forbidden (to eat) fat, they liquefied it and sold it. " (ES)
