باب 8

(8) باب الْقَدْرِ الَّذِي إِذَا سَرَقَهُ السَّارِقُ قُطِعَتْ يَدُهُ

(8) Chapter: The Value for which, if it is stolen, the (Thief's) Hand is to be cut off (ES)

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ .

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:
the Messenger of Allah cut off (a thief's hand) for a shield which cost three Dirhams. (ES)
