(26) باب لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءٌ وَاسْتِحْبَابُ التَّدَاوِي

(26) Chapter: For Every Disease There Is A Remedy, And It Is Recommended To Treat Disease (ES)

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ، بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ، رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ الْحُمَّى فَوْرٌ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ " .

Rafi' b. Khadij reported:
I heard Allah's messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The fever is due to the intense heat of the Hell, so cool it with water. (ES)
