(29) باب اتِّبَاعِ النِّسَاءِ الْجَنَائِزَ

(29) Chapter: (Is it permissible for) woman to accompany the funeral procession (FR)

حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْهُذَيْلِ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ نُهِينَا عَنِ اتِّبَاعِ الْجَنَائِزِ، وَلَمْ يُعْزَمْ عَلَيْنَا.

Narrated Um 'Atiyya:
We were forbidden to accompany funeral processions but not strictly. (FR)
