Hadith 3125

Chapter 1

باب 1

(1) بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ}

(1) Chapter: "Say: Who has forbidden the adornment with clothes given by Allah which He has produced for His slaves?" (FR)

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، يُخْبِرُونَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ ".

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.'' (FR)
