موطأ مالك

وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَائِبَةَ، مَوْلاَةٍ لِعَائِشَةَ . أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ الَّتِي فِي الْبُيُوتِ إِلاَّ ذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالأَبْتَرَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَخْطِفَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَيَطْرَحَانِ مَا فِي بُطُونِ النِّسَاءِ .


Malik related to me from Nafi from Sa'iba, the female mawla ofA'isha, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant himpeace, forbade killing the snakes which were in the houses exceptthose with two white stripes on their back and the short ones. Theymade one go blind and caused miscarriages in women. (ID)
