(12) باب كَفِّ اللِّسَانِ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ

(12) Chapter: Restraining one's tongue during times of tribulation (PT)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ زِيَادٍ، سِيمِينْ كُوشْ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " تَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ تَسْتَنْظِفُ الْعَرَبَ قَتْلاَهَا فِي النَّارِ اللِّسَانُ فِيهَا أَشَدُّ مِنْ وَقْعِ السَّيْفِ " .

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Messenger ofAllah(ﷺ) said:
"There will be a tribulation which will utterlydestroythe Arabs, and those who are slain will be in Hell. At thattime thetongue will be worse than a blow of the sword." (PT)
