(14) باب فِي التَّخْيِيرِ بَيْنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ إِنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى " .

Ibn 'Abbas reported the Prophet (May peace be upon him) as saying :
It is not fitting for a servent to say that I (The Prophet) is better than Jonah son of Matta. (RU)
