(27) باب طَهَارَةِ جُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ بِالدِّبَاغِ

(27) Chapter: Hides of dead animals are purified by tanning (ES)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ بِشَاةٍ لِمَوْلاَةٍ لِمَيْمُونَةَ فَقَالَ " أَلاَّ انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا " .

Ibn 'Abbas reported:
The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) happened to pass by (the dead body) of the goat which belonged to the freed slave-girl of Maimuna and said: Why did you not make use of its skin? (ES)
