(58) باب ذِكْرِ الأَشْرِبَةِ الْمُبَاحَةِ

(58) Chapter: Mentioning the Permissible Drinks (JA)

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، قَالَ أَحْدَثَ النَّاسُ أَشْرِبَةً مَا أَدْرِي مَا هِيَ وَمَا لِي شَرَابٌ مُنْذُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً إِلاَّ الْمَاءُ وَاللَّبَنُ وَالْعَسَلُ .

It was narrated that 'Abidah said:
"The people have invented drinks and I do not know what they are. I have not drunk anything for 20 years except water, milk and honey." (JA)
