It wasnarrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:
Umar heard that Samurah hadsoldsome wine, and he said: "May Allah ruin Samurah! Does he not knowthat the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'May Allah curse the Jews,foranimal fat was forbidden to them, so they melted it down and soldit.'" (JA)
