(13) باب تَخْفِيفِ الصَّلاَةِ وَالْخُطْبَةِ

(13) Chapter: Keeping the prayer and khutbah short (JA)

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَكَانَتْ صَلاَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا .

Jabir b. Samura reported:
I used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and both his prayer and sermon were of moderate length. (JA)
