(10) باب مَا جَاءَ أَنَّ الدَّاعِيَ يَبْدَأُ بِنَفْسِهِ

(10) Chapter: What Has Been Related About The One Supplicating Should Begin With Himself (JA)

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ أَحَدًا فَدَعَا لَهُ بَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو قَطَنٍ اسْمُهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ .

Ibn `Abbas narrated from Ubayy bin Ka`b that :
whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would mention someone and supplicate for him, he would begin with himself (ﷺ). (JA)
