Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Abdullah ibnAmir gave Uthman ibn Affan a slave-girl who had a husband whom he hadpurchased at Basra. Uthman said, "I will not go near her until herhusband separates from her." Ibn Amir compensated the husband and heseparated from her.
