Hadith

After the Quran, Hadith is the most important source of Islamic teachings in Islamic jurisprudence. In fact, the Hadiths are the interpretations of Islamic teachings in the Quran as explained by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Hadiths are the sayings or narrations of the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Hence, Hadiths or ahadith (Plural, Arabic) are very important when it comes to the implementation of the teachings of the Quran in our practical life. The Hadiths provide us the guidance and practical examples from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to help us practice the teachings of Islam in the best way.

Our official website and mobile app are specifically designed to facilitate the users to read and understand the meanings of various Hadiths. You can easily navigate through the Hadith section either on the website or the mobile app to search, read, or listen to your desired Hadith from renowned and authentic Hadith books. Search individual hadiths through the jump function for quick access, highlight, copy, and share your favorite hadiths, and add notes for your learning. The Hadith section comprises 13 of the renowned, most authentic, and widely accepted Hadith collections. The first page of the Hadith section displays the names of these Hadith collections. You can click/tap the name of the desired hadith collection to get access to its books. For example, the Hadith collection, namely Sahih Al-Bukhari, comprises 97 books. When you click on Sahih Al-Bukhari, you will see all the 97 books listed sequentially. Click/tap the book you wish to access, and read any of the Hadiths collected in that book.

Upon opening a book, you will be able to access all Hadith within the book by scrolling down or using the jump feature to search within the book and land directly on the desired Hadith. Upon opening the desired Hadith, you will see the Arabic text along with its English translation. The translation language is set to English by default. By tapping the button on the upper right corner of your phone, you will reach the Hadith Settings. Here, you change the font size and the translation language of your choice. Tap "Auto Translate Language" to select your desired language.

By default, the translation option is activated on the mobile app as well as the website. If you just want to read the Arabic text, you can un-check the "Display Translation Text" box.

Search a Hadith

The search option is available on the main page of the Hadith section at the top of the screen. Here, you have the option to choose the search type, either from hadith collection title, book title, or Hadith content. Select the search type and then type the relevant text in the search bar. You will be redirected to your desired collection, book, or Hadith.

Another search option is available on the main screen of a particular Hadith collection. This option is available right below the collection's name, for example, below Sahih Al-Bukhari. You can type the keywords to reach or search for a particular Hadith within the collection.

A search option is also available within the books of a Hadith collection. When you open any of the books, Hadiths appear in chronological order. In the upper row, alongside the chapter name, the "Jump to" option is available. Here, you can select from different options to reach directly to your desired Hadith.
