Listen Quran
Listen to the Quran by tapping the “Listen” button at the bottom left corner of your mobile screen. The recitation is available in the voices of various renowned reciters, such as Shaikh Abdur Rehman As-Sudais, Qari Abdul Basit, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, and more. By default, the recitation is in the voice of Mishary Rashid Alafasy. You can change the reciter by tapping three dots on the right side and then “Recitation Settings.” The Recitation Settings also provide various other options, such as Volume, Auto Scroll, Speed, and Forward or Rewind.
Read Quran
Users can read the Holy Quran online with MuslimandQuran. Start from the first Juz or search the Surah or Juz you want to read. You can search the Quran by Surah, Juz, Manzil, Ruba, Ruku, Sajda, and Hizb. You can do so by scrolling, using the search option, or tapping the “Jump to” button.
Arabic Text of the Quran is available in three different scripts and fonts: Indopak, Uthmanic, and Mushaf Al-Madina. You can select the one you want. While reading, users can utilize the highlight, bookmark, add notes, copy, and share buttons to navigate the Quran. Highlight and bookmark features help you keep track of your favorite verses and help you understand the Quran more.
Transliteration and Translation
Tap on the “Display” button available at the bottom of your mobile screen. Here, you will get a variety of options, such as Script and Fonts, Text Size, Text Display, and more. Text Display provides the option of Arabic text, translation, and transliteration. You can select the translation or transliteration button or both of them per your preference.
Translations written by famous and renowned scholars in different languages are available. For example, for Urdu translation, you have the option to select the translation by Moulana Abu’al Ala Moudodi, Ahmad Raza Khan, Dr. Tahir Ul Qadri, and many others. Tap the button on the top right side of your mobile screen, next to the name of the Surah, then go to “Translations,” and choose the one you prefer.
Tafseer
Tafseer of the Holy Quran is crucial to understanding the meanings of the Divine Words and its concepts and teachings. You can reach the Tafseer options by tapping the button on the right side of the Surah name in the upper right corner. If you want to read Tafseer along with the recitation, check the box “Display Tafseer Text.” Tafseer is available in three languages: Arabic, English, and Urdu. You can choose your desired language by tapping one of them. Tafseer-e-Usmani is available in the Urdu language. Four options are available in English, whereas multiple tafseers are available in Arabic. You can also customize your Quran page using features like Quran Layout, Quran Theme, Manzil Signs, Sajdah Signs, and so on.
Tajweed
Quran comprises of words of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى, as revealed on the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Hence, we must ensure that these words are recited correctly. Arabic is quite a rich language, having a distinct pronunciation for every letter and sometimes different pronunciations for the same letter. It is, therefore, critical for the reciter to read each and every word with precision. Therefore, Tajweed, the proper application of the rules of pronunciation and articulation when reciting the Quran, is important for reading the Quran correctly.
Tajweed guidelines are also available on our Mobile App as well as the website. That can be reached by tapping the “Tajweed” button available at the bottom of the main page/screen. You can check the box “Enable Tajweed.” Tajweed is available in “Indopak” and “Uthmanic” Scripts. That will help you to recite the Quran correctly. Once enabled, you will see the color pattern on the letters that need to be recited according to the Tajweed Guide, which is available on the main Tajweed Screen.
