Surah Rehman, the 55th chapter of the Quran, can be found in juz (para) 27. Surah Rehman has 78 verses, divided into 3 ruku'. The title of the Surah, "Rahman," translates to "The Most Gracious." There are certain disagreements among scholars about Surah Rahman's historical context, particularly about the classification of this Surah as Makki or Madni. Many Muslim scholars and non-Muslim historians, such as Carl W. Ernst and Theodor Noldeke, believe it was revealed during the Prophet's (ï·º) time in Madinah after he migrated from Makkah (because of the Surah's short length, which is a common characteristic of Madni Surahs), other scholars such as Muhammad Abdel-Haleem categorize it to be a Makki Surah.

The verses are divided into the following themes:
Surah Rahman is the only Surah in the Quran in which Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has directly addressed the jinns along with humankind. The Surah reminds and teaches Allah's creations to realize His creative powers and wonders. The most recurring statement in the Surah, "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" reflects the basic theme of the Surah. Surah Rahman lists the countable blessings and wonders Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) has bestowed upon His creations. Moreover, it also describes how there are uncountable signs of Allah's power and presence in the world for those who believe.
Surah Rahman reflects upon the accountability and helplessness of Allah's creation in front of Him. The Surah reflects upon the freedom of will and action and warns Allah's creations about the consequences of His disobedience with severe torment and the rewards of obedience with delights and blessings in paradise.
Allah says in Surah Al An’aam:
وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Wahatha kitabun anzalnahu mubarakun faittabiAAoohu waittaqoo laAAallakum turhamoona - Al-An'am
And likewise, We revealed this (Book) - a blessed one. Follow it, then, and become God-fearing; you may be shown mercy. (al-An’aam 6:155)
This verse displays how the Quran is a blessing from Allah, and recitation and reading of the Quran instills fear of Allah in one's heart and helps one receive his mercy in this life and the hereafter.
Every word of the blessed Quran is meant to heal Allah's creation. However, Surah Rahman has especially been observed to have miraculous impacts on providing relief from physical ailments and diseases. Surah Rahman is also widely used to recite, listen, and read by patients suffering from diabetes, cancer, and other physical hardships.
Abu Umamah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) reported: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection." – Riyad as-Salihin 991
