Talbiyah is an acknowledgment and a testimony that it is Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) who is the Sole Creator, and there is no partner to him. it allows one to focus on their prime reason for being as well as to acknowledge that every step one takes is not without the will of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى).
Talbiyah is not for one particular moment during the pilgrimage, but it is a chant that goes on until the pilgrim calls upon their creator and do it with pure intentions and devotion for Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى). It reminds one to shed their cloak of the world and submit themselves as they are to the Divine with sincerity.
Be it hajj or umrah, the pilgrimage is not complete without reciting the Talbiyah. It serves as a guiding light for the pilgrims to navigate through their spiritual calling, both individually and with a community.

Labbayk Allaahumma labbayk, labbayk laa shareeka laka labbayk, 'innal-hamda, wanni'mata, laka walmulk, laa shareeka laka.
I am here at Your service, O Allah, I am here at Your service. I am here at Your service, You have no partner, I am here at Your service. Surely the praise, and blessings are Yours, and the dominion. You have no partner.
When a man is reciting the Talbiyah, they should do it loudly, but when a woman is reciting the Talbiyah for the one doing hajj or umrah, they should do it softly. Talbiyah is to be recited with devotion and humility that one is physically, spiritually, and mentally present in front of the Lord in his service.
Reciting the Talbiyah for the one doing Hajj or Umrah is a communal practice that the pilgrims and those sitting at home can recite. This speaks volumes about how, in front of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), everyone is an equal no matter who comes from where, and unites everyone in faith.
Reciting Talbiyah makes one feel connected with their Creator and makes one understand that in their spiritual journey, an entire community thrives with them. It gives one a sense of belonging to one's religion and towards humanity beyond any language or culture barriers.
During Hajj, the Talbiyah is to be recited until the stoning of Jamarah al Aqaba on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah.
Talbiyah should not be recited during Sa’ee and tawaf.
