(7) Chapter: The Manners of Answering the Call of Nature

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -إِذَا دَخَلَ اَلْخَلَاءَ قَالَ: "اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ اَلْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ" } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلسَّبْعَة ُ (104) .3 - صحيح. رواه البخاري (142)، ومسلم (375)، وأبو داود (4)، والترمذي (5)، والنسائي (10)، وابن ماجه (296)، أحمد (3/99 و 101 و 282).

Narrated Anas (rad):
The Prophet (ﷺ) on entering the lavatory used to say: [Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal khubthi wal khaba'ithi]"O Allah, I seek refuge with You from devils – males and females (or all offensive and wicked things, evil deeds and evil spirits, etc.)" [Reported by As-Sab'a]
