(352) بَابُ لا يَقُلْ: خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي
(352) Chapter: Someone should not say, "khabuthat nafsi"* (an expression meaning "I am overcome with nausea")

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ: خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ: لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي.
'A'isha reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and granthim peace, said, "None of you should say, 'khabuthat nafsi'. Heshould say, 'Laqisat nafsi.'"
