(8) Chapter: Taking Ghusl (bath) And the precepts regarding Sexual Impurity

وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -يُقْرِئُنَا اَلْقُرْآنَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ جُنُبًا } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ, وَهَذَا لَفْظُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيِّ وَحَسَّنَةُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّان َ (141) .2 - ضعيف. رواه أبو داود (229)، والنسائي (144)، والترمذي (146)، ابن ماجه (594)، وأحمد (1/83)، وابن حبان (799). ولبعضهم ألفاظ أخر.
Narrated 'Ali (rad):
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to teach us the Qur'an except when he was in a state of sexual impurity. [Reported by Ahmad and Al-Arba'a. This is the version of At-Tirmidhi who graded it Hasan (fair). And Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (sound)].
