Several authentic hadiths state the higher prestige of the Salah offered in the congregation than one offered alone. (Sunan Ibn Majah 786, Sunan Ibn Majah 787) These hadiths narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) reflect the higher reward of congregational prayers, encouraging Muslims to follow the example of the Prophet (ﷺ).
Another narration by Ibn 'Umar also authenticates the importance of congregational prayers in Islam. "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The prayer of a man in congregation is twenty-seven levels more virtuous than a man's prayer on his own.'" (Sunan Ibn Majah 789) All three of these hadiths have been graded Sahih by Darussalam, solidifying the idea that the tradition of congregational prayers is a fundamental part of Islam that cannot be dismissed.
