It was built with the collaboration of the Salafi Center of Mexico and is now one of the central places where Muslims gather for daily prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, Taraweeh prayers, and Eid prayers. The mosque is not spacious, and it has one small prayer area that provides a shared space for men and women to offer their salah behind an imam, according to Sunnah. However, the Musallah does have separate restrooms and a wudu area for men and women. It provides its services in Spanish and spreads Islamic teachings and knowledge to the Spanish-speaking people. Despite its humble size and resources, Musalah Al-Ajirah is actively involved in community outreach with the goal of fostering understanding about the religion and motivating people to revert to Islam (dawah).

Polanco Mosque is part of the Educational Center of the Muslim Community and is a Sunni Mosque. It is a hub for Muslims living in nearby areas. The language of service is Spanish, which means that the Friday sermon before the Friday prayer is said in Spanish. Moreover, the translation of the Quran, lectures, Halaqas, and all the Islamic education courses are conducted in Spanish. The mosque is open to men and women; however, it only has a shared prayer hall. The basic services the mosque arranges are the daily salah with jama’ah, Friday sermons and prayers, Taraweeh prayers in Ramadan, and the two Eid prayers. It's also a place where the community gathers to celebrate festivals like Eid.
