Ecuadorian Islamic Center - Alsalam Mosque

The Ecuadorian Islamic Center contains the Al-salam Mosque and is the main institution for Sunni Muslims in Quito. It was founded in 1994 by a former military officer, Yahya Juan F. Suquillo. Since he is also an Islamic scholar, Suquillo saw the need for a proper mosque in the city.
