١٥ - ٱلْحِجْر

15 - Al-Hijr

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَاٍ مَّسْنُوْنٍ۝۲۶ۚ
Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min salsalin min hamain masnoonin

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (verily we created man) adam (of potter's clay) of dry clay (of black mud altered) clay that stinks; it is also said that this means: shaped clay.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : and verily we created man, adam, out of a dry [clinking] clay, that gives off a clinking sound when it is tapped, of malleable mud, black [mud].
