Ahmed Ali

Does he give you a promise that when you are dead and turned to dust and bones, you will be raised to life again?

35

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (doth he) does this messenger (promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust) after death (and bones) and decayed bones, (will (again) be brought forth) will be brought back to life after death?

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones, you shall be brought forth? (mukhrajūna, this is the predicate of the first annakum, ‘that … you’; the second annakum [simply] reiterates it because of the long separation [between the subject and its predicate]).
