٢٦ - ٱلشُّعَرَاء

26 - Ash-Shu'ara

وَّنَزَعَ يَدَہٗ فَاِذَا ہِىَ بَيْضَاۗءُ لِلنّٰظِرِيْنَ۝۳۳ۧ
WanazaAAa yadahu faitha hiya baydao lilnnathireena

And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders.

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : pharaoh then said: “this is a manifest sign, do you have any other signs?” (and he drew forth his hand) from his armpit (and lo! it was white to the beholders) his hand had a light like the light of the sun, and whoever looked at it liked it.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : then he drew out his hand, he brought it out of his pocket, and lo! it was white, glowing, before the onlookers, and not its usual skin colour.
