'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and leave the wives) and avoid having sex with your wives (your lord created for you) that your lord made lawful for you? (nay, but ye are froward folk) who transgress from the lawful to the unlawful.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and forsake the wives your lord has created for you?, in other words, [you forsake intimacy with] their front parts? nay, but you are a transgressing folk’, overstepping [the bounds of] what is lawful into what is unlawful.
