Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners.

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (thus do we make it) the denial (traverse the hearts of the guilty) the idolaters: abu jahl and his host.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : so, in the same way in which we would have caused denial of it to penetrate [the hearts of disbelievers] had it been recited by a non-arab, we have caused, denial of, it to penetrate the hearts of the criminals, the meccan disbelievers, when muhammad (s) recites it.
