٥٣ - ٱلنَّجْم

53 - An-Najm

وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْہَوٰى۝۳ۭ
Wama yantiqu AAani alhawa

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (nor doth he speak of (his own) desire) he did not utter the qur'an of his own desire.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : nor does he, in regard to what he brings you, speak out of [his own] desire, [out of] the whims of his soul.

Sahl al-Tustari

تفسير : nor does he speak out of [his own] desire,[he said]:that is, he never ever utters falsehoods (bāṭil).then he said:his utterances were among the proofs (ḥujaj) of god, exalted is he, so how could desire or satan have any means of thwarting him?his words, exalted is he:
