'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (surely he beheld him) muhammad saw gabriel (on the clear horizon) on the high setting of the sun.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : for verily he, muhammad (s), saw him, gabriel, in the form in which he was created, on the clear horizon, the highest one, towards the east;
