Popular Mosques in Mexico City, Mexico

Mosques are a special place for Muslims. The primary role of the mosque is to provide a space for Muslims to worship Allah. A prayer space that allows Muslims to offer their salah in a congregation behind an imam as prescribed by Sunnah. Mosques organize all types of salat, be it daily salah, Jumu'ah prayers, Taraweeh, or Eid prayers. The secondary purpose of mosques is to provide a communal space where Muslims gather to offer their prayers side by side, learn about the basic tenets and teachings of Islam, exchange ideas, and hold discussions and discourse to promote unity and brotherhood.

Mosques are a powerful support system. They help the congregation financially, morally, socially, and in many other ways. Mosques are also educational institutions – they offer courses in Arabic, Quran, Sunnah, Seerah, Islamic Jurisprudence, and more. Each mosque functions differently, and the courses can be as simple as offering classes to Muslim children and new adult Muslims to read the Quran in Arabic or as Advanced as Islamic Jurisprudence. Some mosques also arrange lectures on various Islamic topics to educate Muslims on how to live their daily life according to Islam. It was built with the collaboration of the Salafi Center of Mexico and is now one of the central places where Muslims gather for daily prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, Taraweeh prayers, and Eid prayers.
