The Prophet (ï·º) was sent to this world as a guidance for mankind. The Prophet (ï·º) ensured to guide his Ummah about everything that could benefit them, protect them, and put them on the right path of Islam. One of the Prophet's (ï·º) Hadith guided the believers to recite a dua and seek refuge with Allah upon hearing a rooster crow or the braying of an ass. When you hear the cock's crow, ask Allah for His favor upon you, for surely it has seen an angel. When you hear the bray of a donkey, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for surely it has seen a devil - [Hisnul 228] [Al-Bukhari, Muslim 4/2092.]
Since the Prophet (ï·º) associated the rooster of a crow with seeing an angel and the braying of a donkey with seeing the Shaytan, he guided the Ummah to seek protection immediately upon hearing the animals' noises. Since believers must remember Allah in every situation, you should recite this dua any time or anywhere as soon as you hear the crowing of a rooster or the braying of a donkey, especially if the animals have no genuine or visible reason to be making the noises.
Nature Duas
'A 'oothu billaahi minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem.
When you hear the cock's crow, ask Allah for His favor upon you for surely it has seen an angel. When you hear the bray of a donkey, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for surely it has seen a devil.
The dua meant to provide safety and refuge from the devil can protect you from any decisiveness from the devil and earn Allah's protection. If you make a dua when you hear a rooster crow, you can seek Allah's blessings because an angel is nearby. On the other hand, Satan is forever in the search to lead the Ummah of our beloved Prophet astray. Reciting this dua will save you from the shar (vice) of the shaytaan. If you don't recite this dua, he may entice you to do something that is not beneficial for you.
