It is reported from Mujahid that Ibn 'Umar disliked making animalsfight each other.
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Prophet, may Allah blesshim and grant him peace, said "Do not go out often after the night is still.Allah has animals which he sends out. Anyone who hears the barking of adog or the braying of a donkey should seek refuge with Allah from the AccursedShaytan. They see what you do not see."
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, mayAllah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you hear a dog barkingor a donkey braying in the night, seek refuge with Allah. They see whatyou do not see. Shut the doors and mention the Name of Allah over them.Shaytan will not open a door which has been shut and had the name of Allahmentioned over it. Then cover the pots, tie the water-skins and cover thevessels."

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah blesshim and grant him peace, said, "When you hear the crowing of a cock inthe night, it has seen an angel. Ask Allah for its blessing. If you hearthe braying of a donkey in the night, it has seen a shaytan, so seek refugewith Allah from shaytan."
Anas ibn Malik reported that a man cursed fleas in the presenceof the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the Prophet,may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not curse them. A fleawoke up one of the Prophets for the prayer."
