(464) بَابُ حَقِّ مَنْ سَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ

(464) Chapter: The right of someone who gives the greeting when standing

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ نِبْرَاسٍ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانُوا يَكُونُونَ مُجْتَمِعِينَ فَتَسْتَقْبِلُهُمُ الشَّجَرَةُ، فَتَنْطَلِقُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ يَمِينِهَا وَطَائِفَةٌ عَنْ شِمَالِهَا، فَإِذَا الْتَقَوْا سَلَّمَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ.


Anas ibn Malik reported that the Companions of the Prophet, mayAllah bless him and grant him peace, used to gather and they would turntowards the tree and a group of them would go to the right and a groupto its left. When they met again, they would greet one another.
