2. Al Zahra Mosque

 

Masjid Al Zahra, or Al Zahra Mosque, was established in 1980 and is among Australia's largest mosques. It is also the first Shia mosque in Australia. 3. Lakemba Mosque (Imam Ali Bin Abi Taleb Mosque)

 

The Lakemba Mosque is also known as the Imam Ali Bin Abi Taleb Mosque. The mosque is prominently associated with the internationally recognized Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA), which has been operational since 1962 and is the primary caretaker of the mosque. The congregation consists mainly of Pakistani, Somali, Bangladeshi, and East-Asian Muslims and a growing number of converts. The Lakemba Mosque was opened in 1972 and is also one of the largest mosques in Australia.
