Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught his beloved companions to always seek fellow Muslims to pray together in congregation. Although not made obligatory, congregational prayers are given immense importance as an Islamic tradition. The following hadith illustrates the importance he (ﷺ) gave to praying in congregation. AbudDarda'(رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If there are three men in a village or in the desert among whom prayer is not offered (in congregation), the devil has got the mastery over them. So, observe (prayer) in congregation), for the wolf eats only the straggling animal. Sa'ib said: By the word Jama'ah, he meant saying the prayer in the company or congregation. (Grade: Hasan (Al-Albani) Sunan Abi Dawud 547). Thus, every Muslim must try their best to perform their prayers with the congregation.
