'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī
تفسير : (and we straitened pharaoh's folk with famine) and hunger, year after year (and the dearth of fruits) the disappearance of fruits, (that peradventure they might heed) that they might take admonition.
Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī
تفسير : and verily we seized pharaoh’s folk with the years, of drought, and dearth of fruits, so that they might remember, [that they might] heed the admonition, and become believers.
