١٥ - ٱلْحِجْر

15 - Al-Hijr

قَالُوْا بَشَّرْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِّنَ الْقٰنِطِيْنَ۝۵۵

Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqi fala takun mina alqaniteena

"We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair."

Tafseer

'Abdullāh Ibn 'Abbās / Muḥammad al-Fīrūzabādī

تفسير : (they said: we bring thee good tidings in truth) that you will have a son. (so be not thou of the despairing) in relation to having a son.

Jalāl al-Dīn al-Maḥallī

تفسير : they said, ‘we give you good tidings in truth, sincerely; so do not be of the despairing’, the despondent.
